Great Book.....Until the end..... Wish I could just forget the last chapter. Know it was fiction... but you do not go from the coast to Asheville on a Greyhound in a couple of hours. In fact driving it -fast- would take about 6 hrs. Pretty clever with no phone or experience of the outside world to get old Chase to be there just at the right time. Also, if you have been in that area you know the night is so dark it's like standing in a closet. Yet she got there, rowed all that way etc etc. Just thought the Court thing sorta dumb until the last where she had pulled this off.... I would not have minded if she had killed the snake.... but - get real . The first part was wonderful...
