This is a great examination of an organization which is dysfunctional as any family. The people were fascinating. I liked how the director/editor used characters and Ren Faire traditions to illustrate some of the possible internal thoughts of the players. Very well done.
I was expecting maybe a history of Ren Faires that delved into why people decide to work with them and why people still go to them but what I got was a gripping drama, with internal dialogue and thoughtful editing. Loved the examination of art vs commerce and comparison to Disney. Was freaked out by the 'King' and his dating rituals but I've met men like that. Thank you for capturing this cognitive dissonance. I'll be thinking about this story for awhile.
