I was a big fan of season 1. Season 2 was also good. Love the scenery of Italy and the period costumes and history. Spoilers ahead: Season 3, dark and dramatic. Young and beautiful, Lucien and Constance, in love since season 1 but trials and circumstances keep them apart. So, we the audience, are cheering for them. Looks like they’re finally going to make it. NO! What are you writers thinking? The big romance of the whole series! And you kill off Lucien violently in the last scene! I am done….

Great setting, cinematography and acting. That said, the story was depressing and frankly not believable. A man decides to end a long friendship so he can leave an impact on the world with his music. And then he cuts off fingers needed to play instrument when his friend tries to understand and reunite with him. Makes no sense. Sad, hopeless. Wished I hadn’t watched it. No thanks. Who needs this?

Horrible. First show hooked me. Downhill from there. Husband cheats on wife. Killings. Who did it? Depressing. Not one character to like! Question—can’t a woman have a best friend who is also a woman and it not turn in take a gay thing? Do not recommend.
