No. It doesn't work. Josh Hutcherson has some strong scenes but is otherwise a casting miss for the role of "Nick". There are some enjoyable clips accompanied by a complimentary score, but with little overall flow. Del Toro delivers in the title role, but the film lacks that dangerous intensity commensurate with themes of this kind.
