I’m not going to pretend to be a film critic commenting on how Cary Grant played Dudley, how Grant’s career morphed over the decades, yaddida yaddida. Simply, in a world of hate, nastiness, divisiveness, political strife, plannedemic, fake collusions, this film is refreshingly upbeat and one that celebrates Christmas in an unfettered, albeit sentimental, honest way. It’s a time when people were kinder, courteous and reminiscent of what our country used to be like.
