I had heard about this movie for a long time, and I finally watched it. The film truly shocked me. The movie has a very impressive Chinese title, "末路狂花," which translates directly into English as "Wild Flowers at the End of the Road." As a woman living in Asia, I still encounter many Thelmas around me（the movie published in 1991 ）. They immerse themselves in the routine life of a housewife, finding solace and companionship solely among their female friends. Life is incredibly challenging for them. Unfortunately, they receive no support or encouragement from their husbands. Living amidst discrimination and ignorance drives them to the brink of madness. Their only recourse is to escape. The societal constraints have turned life into a cage for women, compelling them to break free in order to reclaim their autonomy.
