"The Death ship has a new captain." Nosferatu is a masterpiece of cinema. I find it quite chilling and creepy. I haven't seen many recent horror movies - I avoid them because of the blood and gore - so I still find this film scary. Max Schreck's performance is great. His makeup is uncanny and his acting is convincing. On the part of Hutter, there is some moments where his acting is a little exaggerated, but it isn't really distracting. The actor who played Knock did a good job too. F.W Murnau's directing and cinematography are certainly great as well. I am a silent film fan, so I enjoyed watching this when I did the first time. I now watch it every October. I know a lot of people are somewhat deterred by it because it is a silent film, but it only adds to the spooky atmosphere. So that is what I have to say about Nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror.

"Quite a good scene, isn't it? One man crazy, three very sane spectators." A great film. I am aware that it is not 100% accurate to the novel, but to me that doesn't detract from the quality of the film itself, narratively or in general. Boris Karloff's performance is great, and Colin Clive's performance is also wonderful. Though it definitely isn't the greatest movie ever made, and it is debatable whether it is the greatest Universal Monster movie, I enjoy watching it each time I do. This is but one review, and no opinion is the right opinion. But still, I can't help but call this film great.
