Honestly this is a fantastic game. The mechanics can sometimes seem a little flawed when it comes to controlling the Ellie or while riding on horseback. However, the fighting mechanics have much been improved upon. Game play is much like the first one. You will go through a post apocalyptic city that comes off as very guided. In other words, like the first one, it is not an open world platform by any means. As far as the story goes, I have not yet completed the game. Being an adult with a life I cant dedicate my entire days to playing video games. That said the story starts off a little slow. This is okay for the most part as they use this as a time to become familiar with the new controls. This will prepare you for when the story takes a twist and you get thrown into the familiar world of the original. The voice acting is just as great as the original, and I have noticed no fault. I have now put about 8-10 hours into this game, and the story is still amazing. Instead of trying to save the world this time, you are on a game long vengeance mission. Be ready to deal with a lot of gore. Overall, I don't mind that Ellie is gay like so many people seem to. It makes her character feel that much more human and real. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal and you can clearly tell that naughty dog put a lot of time and effort into them. If you're looking for the same story line as before you will be disappointed. This is not about the character growth and bonding between Joel and Ellie. This is about an emotionally distraught Ellie seeking to get revenge. You will not be disappointed with the graphics at all. It is honestly one of the best looking games I have seen in a long time. Gameplay is easy enough that even a beginner could play with relative ease should they so choose. So I am giving this game 5 stars as it is very evident that a lot of time and effort went into this game, and it paid off.
