When I was going into 7th grade, we had to read the giver as an assignment. I love the giver so much not only because it's written beautifully but because I understand it. Lowry goes slow to let you know what each and every part is about. To all the people who said 1 star reviews because this book made them do something bad - That's your own fault. Don't blame an innocent book just because you can't control yourself. I highly recommend this amazing, poetic, and fantastically written book.
