Live telecast is a drag. Stopped watching it in the initial few episodes. Firstly it’s annoying and the horror is in no way “horrifying”. Actually, there’s hardly any horror in this series. Secondly, when would they stop casting non Tamilian actresses for lead roles? I mean there’s nothing wrong with casting non Tamilians but they don’t seem to do any justice to their roles, mainly due to language barrier. A Tamil actress could have done a better job than Kajal.

The comedy scenes were good. But a few scenes didn’t make sense. If you compare it with Stree, then Roohi isn’t that great a movie. Otherwise it’s a “time-pass movie”. One would watch Stree again but won’t feel like watching Roohi again.

This is how you murder a good, meaningful movie. The Hindi version of this movie which happens to be the original one was so natural, authentic and relatable. The Tamil version is too loud. Right from the beginning to the ending it’s just melodramatic. People shouldn’t compare this movie to the original Hindi version. This movie comes nowhere close to the Hindi version be it in terms of acting or the way the situations are portrayed. It could have been adapted in a better way.

This movie must be soooo under-rated. Initially I didn’t feel like watching it and hearing it’s name, I felt it would be uninteresting. But what a beautiful and touching movie it was! Such a simple story and Vidya Balan has portrayed the her role soooo well. Every scene was good. Viewers would wanna go and give Vidya Balan a tight hug for her amazing performance. She stole the show. She has maintained her simpleton character throughout. Such natural acting. Housewives can relate to her character. India even today attaches stigma to certain jobs and this movie captures it so very well. How she chooses to be a radio jockey and how her family ostracises her. So very true and natural. The director has captured every scene with such simplicity. A must watch movie. Moral: Don’t judge a movie by its name.

Superb, wonderful acting by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhat. Though Alia Bhat had lesser screen time, she made her presence felt. Songs are first class. They kept the whole story to the point. Not even for a moment did it feel like they’re stretching the story anywhere. Start to end not even a single minute felt boring. A nicely captured movie.

An average movie considering it was termed “the darkest chapter in the conjuring universe”. Fact is the original conjuring is itself the darkest chapter. It has raised the bar so high that other movies in the conjuring series cannot match up to it.
