Amazing album. Fromm straight forward songs to experimental to ambient. This album was an essential part of my teen years.As always the musicianship is top-notch. The lyrics delightfully abstract. No album pulls me back in time like this one.

The greatest album by ELO. The mood was classical meets psychedelic, by way of hard rock.
Although the band would change and get even more success in subsequent years, this was a watershed moment for the band.
Almost a rock opera, but not quite. Ironically it sounds more like an opera than many attempts by pop/rock bands to create one.
Listen to the album with headphones on, and be transported over the rainbow to Eldorado...Eldorado...Eldorado...
