I think we do a disservice to the youth in our country by banning this book and others like ut. Most gay people know they are gay by the time they reach high school and we need to send a message that it’s okay to be gay and nothing to be ashamed of. Too many youth feel shame and hide the fact that they’re gay but it will not make them heterosexual, it will only make them ashamed.
