Started with a 5 star source material - Jack Carr's book. Got the actor who could bring James Reece to life. Got an outstanding supporting cast who played their parts perfectly. Made the mistake of deviating from the book. Shot scenes too dark. Had too many flashbacks and too many PTSD hallucinations, Having read the book, I watched with the feeling that those who haven't read the book must be spending a lot of time wondering who these people are, and why they're doing what they're doing. The director squandered an opportunity to produce an excellent series, but mucked it up.
