What if love and destiny play a whirlwind story enough that life doesn't go the way you expected
Rating: 4.5 stars
Indian romance has always been a favorite genre of mine, mix of complications and rough edges, but in the end, a different plot comes alive making it an interesting read. When I came across the plot, I had to pick it up.
The writing hooked me immediately, something different than usual, a nuanced emotive style which pulled me in hook and sinker, that I couldn't put the book down at all, and had to finish the book in two sittings.
This is a love story, but laced with reality, which made the rough edges more real, that I could connect with the characters immediately, and there was disjointedness in the setting of the plot, as it is split into many pieces, but the whole story comes together at the end, making it a heartwarming reading experience.
Character awareness was beautiful, I could really connect with Ahana's complicated situations and Karan's pure heartedness.
The ending was heartbreaking, but it was beautiful in its own way, rounding up the whole book per se. Also the poignant poems added in between added a nice touch to the whole plot.
I am a big big fan of the author's writing. I am looking forward to reading more of his books in the future.
