Pretty but lackluster when we already have both destiny and Warframe with more freedom. You also barely need the provided abilities when you can literally just power your way through after a given tutorial. The boss riding looked fun, but again, as long as you use your secondary and shoot him in his head you can completely override the tutorial.
The combat AI is non-existent almost. The enemy shoots a few times and then sparks off in their own language for a while while shaking violently so you can run up behind them and unload.
Melee is bound to two buttons on controller for some reason that have to be pressed simultaneously to do a simple melee.
Also, Greg?
Story is the general "quest giver needs your help to save humanity now that you are special"
Go, shoot some bad guys, here's some eye candy, meet your boss, go to mission area and meet forgettable character who learns of team distress (behind the wall you're standing next to) You have to save the team that you never meet by finding an emergency radio beacon that's directly behind you that you have to go into a circle of missions to find and activate.
You can set in this starter area and you can fill up your ability cards so you'll be overly prepared for the next few missions that nothing happen in as you pass around the MacGuffin
