This was a great movie and a desirable attempt for Disney to return to it's classic form. My only complaint is main characters were a little under developed but that didn't stop from loving this movie and wishing Disney would return to it's classic form.

Not sure why critics gave it such bad reviews. I don't think it meant to be funny but it was a good movie with interesting story and great acting.

Great story, entertaining as always, movie from Pixar. That poke at the Disneys little mermaid is also freaking awesome and accurate. Disney for sure tried to bury this as it's not being advertised at all. Even searching for it was not easy as it would not come up in results.

Poorly done remake. Pacing is really bad especially in the beginning. I barely had the attention span as an adult to watch the whole thing. When I was 10 I would of been playing with my popcorn 30 minutes in. Music is dull, acting lacks expressions (except Melissa McCarthy, she was awesome. You could really see Ursula in her performance). Characters are developed poorly compared to the original. Beloved flounder is barley in the movie. Movie lacks color and music lacks that Disney orchestra grandeur that made all those movies so amazing. Movie is longer than original by 30 minutes but somehow characters are less developed and many beloved scenes that made the original great are just gone.
