What I liked: It debunks the Egyptian origin myth. It gives a plausible explanation of how our modern tarot deck evolved from dice in China, to paper cards, to playing cards for fun & gambling on the Silk Road. I agree with the author in many respects, finding the same conclusions as a result of my own research; that a game of cards existed and was modified by the different cultures of various regions throughout parts of India & the Middle East before it became a European card game. What I did not like as much: I wanted more on the "ancient sources" Decker rediscovered. I highly recommend this book!!!
