Just more of the same boring underwhelming and contrived formula. Seriously poor effort with nothing of note that improves the base game.

A year after release and this game has only gotten worse. It’s DLC is joke. No new mechanics just reskinned weapons and armour and another boring story. No joy, no mystery and no excitement to be had. The veneer of Nasa Punk is ugly and plain. The writing is soulless, the “Unity” is a terrible and lazy finale. Your companions are boring, uninspired and wooden. I gave this game the benefit of the doubt. I continued to play in the hope that “It get’s better”. It does not.

Solid addition to the Alien franchise. Great chops from the whole crew. Fun callbacks and references. Horror, intrigue and spectacle are all here. I get that peeps see it as derivative due to the sameness of its plot points and character archetypes yet that’s another point of enjoyment for me.

It’s so bad that we left after 20 minutes, got refunded and laughed all the way home about how awful, uninspired, bland and soulless this film is. No wonder, magic or a whiff of what made the originals special. Even 3 had more character and charm than this tripe. Save yourself the time and money and go see TopGun like we in retrospect wish we had.
