P.S: This is a long comment/review, so if you don't like those I suggest you scroll. Thank you for reading this P.S anyway! Celebrity could've been so much more. It wasn't a bad series but it could've been so much better. In my opinion, it's between mid and good. It could've been good if the series didn't feel like it was fading from the plot at times, or just taking a completely new direction,.. SPOILERS AHEAD! I liked Seo Ari, for the most part. I admit there are some problems with her character, but I think the main problem with her character lies within its inconsistencies. This is prevalent in her relationship with Jun-Kyung. I am not a fan of their relationship. In fact, I despise it. I hate the fact that Jun was controlling, obsessive and aggressive, and everyone acted as if it was normal. I hate how Shi-Hyeon didn't even think of warning Ari about this guy, even though Shi knew what he was like. I hated how Ari acted around him. It was so out of character for her and felt like I was watching a rom-com instead of a thriller at times. I also disliked how Ari self-reflects a few times on the show then forgets about it. What I mean is, how she talks to her best friend then realises she's just like all the other influencers, then moves on. Those scenes could've been so much deeper, with her realising she needs to change, or her completely denying the fact and getting worse. But instead, those scenes were just forgotten. Don't get me wrong, Celebrity isn't the worst series in the world. Though I have a lot of complaints, I also have lots of positive things to say about the show. Like how it dives into how social media controls our lives and makes us take sides even though we don't know the context. It also can show us how jealousy can lead us into making blind decisions, eventually leading us to our own ruin. Why am I rating it a 4? Because the series isn't completely bad and I think people deserve to see it and make their own conclusion. Thank you for reading this review.
