Have to say, I didn’t really have the highest hopes- Helen Hunt’s character, Joe nor Bill Paxton were not given connection or tribute ?!! The first was an iconic film ! How could they not include them in this?! So disappointing… ☝️I am all for including younger actors and actresses, but when you completely remove the iconic characters of the original film and you want to claim that you wanted to ‘depart from the original’? bad move— plus it negates the wisdom of the experience of those who came before. (I for one see this massive trend in our country right now with films. If Hollywood continues to omit the wisdom of the elders… It’s certainly an indication of what we value and what we don’t) Movies like this prove it. It was not at all a departure from the original except a departure from any decent dialogue….. No character development whatsoever— They used characters in the same wardrobe as the original characters … Cookie cutter version of the original regarding aesthetics but no connecting theme to the characters or relationships of the original. Absolutely no tribute to the two characters and team that made that film a hit 20 some odd years ago ! You can add all kinds of action scenes all you want crashes, Cinematic blowups and churning destruction times 1000, But you will never make a good movie off an original hit unless you have substance of relationships! Relationship to the characters, character development, and showing movement within that added time span ( Relationship and things within that line of work that have moved forward and places Of Paradox-The archetypal stories in life that we simply have to accept and cannot solve) The grave disappointment in this movie is what happens when Screen writers and directors want to use spectacle as a substitute for relationship! Somebody make another one and do better!🙌🏻

You can’t have us hanging!! Love the cast ! Season 3 will need some great psychological writing - and there’s LOTS to work with! That ‘deep internal paradox’ is shown as settled/ behind them ; but could lead to some great places for the characters’ relationships etc..— We need to see some unraveling in them. We witnessed that w/Alex and the psychological repercussions; great to see the writers add a transformative redemption offered to him at the latter part of season 2 - would love to see what the writers do with the other characters — and their relationships w/ one another in that same process. season 3 please!

We have allowed propaganda and political divisiveness to cut us off at the knees from greater solution- finding/problem solving, and we have kept ourselves from working together with much greater cooperation. Look at the state of affairs in our Congress! Dear God, it’s up to the people of this nation to turn things around and we must be that change! I believe that some of the biggest demands required of us as individuals must reach far beyond political divisiveness regularly ignited by immature, political propaganda. As a collective nation we must do better. Marianne Williamson is offering THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE platform, integrative vision, hope, and ‘love in action’, and economic reform that I have ever witnessed of a presidential candidate! She shares what we need MOST at this time in America, that also extends, in wisdom, to so much of what we need internationally. I observe, in the conversations I have with many others on both sides of the political spectrum, her platform is supported by BOTH parties and is always ending her talks with standing ovations! The deep discussions she’s having ARE what people want. Nothing less will do. Old paradigm politics, political games, ‘political tennis match BS’- which is what both political established systems have engaged in for decades, are absolutely beneath the American public, and do NOT come close to ‘solutions’ or repair in most areas needed for ALL Americans. There are a great number of Americans supporting Marianne Williamson’s campaign platform that simply makes sense in repairing this nation! She is higher in the polls than the other candidates running on the Republican end! Her platform deserves to be heard for ALL Americans! Do we purport to be a democracy AND live that?
