Hate the word visceral but this ticked all the wrong boxes for me like kong island. Special effects are great but storyline is pathetic and doesn't make any sense. Strong female hero agenda is also front and centre here which adds to the boredom factor. Jackson's kong was much better thought out and conceived with unforgettable fight scenes.

While I thought the film could have been made in a more realistic way the storyline, the special effects, the story and the music was unforgettable. Every guy would wish to be Beowulf a hero even if he is a flawed hero and the ending to the movie is as perfect as you want. Thoroughly enjoyable.

One of my favourite movies of all time Authentic looking, great acting and scenes and with a lot of heart. A look in the past with a great storyline. Unforgettable A true classic

What can u say about a film that is riveting for 99% of the time but severely let down in the final minutes with its ending.it should have followed unforgiven with the antagonist fading away in peace but chose a Hollywood ending which didn't make sense. Aside from that very entertaining.

Eastwood and Hackman in particular give powerhouse performances with Harris and others just as good in a western that is unforgettable particularly in the last 10 mins or so. You wish time hadn't caught up with all these actors as there seems to be nobody of such quality coming thru now in pictures. Will watch this time and time again. True classic

Wonderful inoffensive silly comedy that I see now is preceded by a disclaimer it might not be suitable for today's audience on TV. More comedy lol Smile or laughing from start to finish. It's my num num comedy of all time.

Brilliant film that leaves a lasting impression and quite rightly is named a classic

One of my favourite films of all time together with butch cassidy and Jeremiah Johnston also Redford films. A boyhood hero film inspiring, good vs evil, a wish to see pop Roy and the team to win. It has it all. Great characters with depth. Wilford Bradford is great. A perfect film. Flawless

Reading some of the reviews I swear some critics are boring humourless joy killers. This is laugh out loud humour ar it's best and original. Can't say that about today's comedies, safe and as funny as a broken legs. Goes for the funny bone and does it well.

Thoroughly enjoyable story with all the cast bringing something good. Travolta is a gem and the film has many great scenes. You keep smiling thru the film.
