I am saddened that I even have to leave 1 star to post my review. I will keep my comments brief as so many other 1 star raters have eloquently enumerated all the shortcomings and toxic viewpoints within this movie. Sadly my 12 year old daughter had bought into the skewed Google positive reviews and I simplistically thought “ it’s a Barbie movie, how bad could it be?” So we rented it. I was epically wrong! Sadly I contributed to the financial success of this compost garbage but what I find even more disheartening is the fact that approximately 40% of all viewers gave it a 5 star rating!! Maybe I live to far from Hollywood and Barbieland to find any redeeming qualities in this movie!! :(
