The problem in Hollywood these days is the writers abandon the art form in order to make a point about racial injustice and police abuse. The cops in this series should have gone to prison for their actions. That would have provided the audience with the satisfaction we seek in good drama. If I want to see cops get away with breaking the law, I can watch the news. Instead, I am left frustrated and angry. Not at the fictional characters, but the writers who robbed me of the satisfaction I seek as an audience of good drama. I give this series 3 stars overall. The acting deserves 5 stars. The writing deserves 3 stars except for the epilogue. For that, the writers deserve 1 star. Unless a drama is based on actual events, good drama provides closure. The writers of this series failed in that endeavor and I am not any more enlightened now than when I started watching the show.
