The music was bright point of this movie, however the ending ... just unsatisfactory. The film just ... ended. I was watching with family and friends and we all thought "no way that is the ending," because frankly nothing came to a conclusion. An OK movie, but not worth it if you are invested in solid endings.

This was an absolute masterpiece. Appropriate for the whole crew, made me belly laugh and cry tears of bliss even after watching it for the 758th time. I often go back to the unsurpassable 'cheese fits' scene and can never get over it. A breath of fresh air in the horribly plebeian film industry we are plagued by today. Please watch it. Like seriously, it's the best.

I really have a special place for this film. I was a teenager when I watched it for the first time, and was captivated by the deeper themes of living life as you want to, making adventures out of impossible situations, and laughing even when things are not ideal. Zak is an amazing character with characterizations that make you appreciate his candor, adventurousness, resilience, and unwavering loyalty even more. A feel good movie that leaves you feeling like the world maybe is a brighter place after all.

I do not say this lightly ... ever since it came out, this has been my favorite film and remains number 1 on my list to this day. I first watched it as a teenager, and I am still moved about Lion's capture of deeper themes including the dichotomy of what family means, endurance in the face of impossible odds, losing oneself and searching for 'you' again. Seeing the pain of Saroo and his family (both biological and adoptive) at losing family members, dealing with family with mental illnesses, reminds me to hug my family members closer at night. This is worth your time, and stands as a reminder of what is important in life.
