It's an excellent down to earth show. The Boss has his ugly swearing moments, but that's part of the game. It's hard to imagine all the $$$$$$$$$$$$ spent on cars that seldom are worth that much. my first car was a blue 51 Merc Convertible that i bought across the river in Bismarck N. Dak. for 80 bucks. A 55 Chev 2-dr post came next for 100 bucks. The engine wouldn't turn over, so i asked brother brucie what to do with it and he told me to pull the spark plugs. Sure enough, one plug on the passenger side shot water out. i pulled the intake and one head, put one head gasket in and it ran SWEET. A 62 406 Ford, 405 horse, 4-speed, Tri Power came along for 2700 bucks. Cars were CHEAP back in Mandan. Too many to count came after like a black 69 Mach I, that i owned for 20 years for 3900 bucks. i bought my Son a red 69 Mach I, 390 S code 4-speed when he graduated from high school and he still has it many years later. Three years ago, i picked up a beautiful 77 White Trans Am, mint black vinyl interior, with low mileage, a rebuilt 400 with the big #16 heads, built auto trans with a nice shift kit and a rebuilt rear end with 373 gears. It's also a SWEETHEART and the owner only wanted 6500 bucks. i picked it up for 5700. Cars are definitely addictive, which is a positive thing, in humble oppinion. j.b. Edmonds, Wa.
