This is NOT a remake. If you go to the theater expecting to see your Mama's 'Color Purple' from the 80's, you will be extremely disappointed. However, if you go to theater, with an opened mind, expecting to see a re-imagined version that is a Mashup between the book, the original movie AND the Broadway show, you will thoroughly enjoy it! I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED IT! I can't wait to see it again!👍💙💜
