This is the Palestinian story of the Nakba (Catastrophy) when the Israeli military ethnically cleansed and murdered countless Palestinians to create a Jewish state to make way for Jewish settlers. The systematic removal of Palestinians included rape, torture and destruction of homes. It's a story that's always been censored, and because of this censure Palestinians continue to be murdered, mistreated and abused in Israel to this day.
The film is charged with emotion and is a heartbreaking account of a true story about a young girl named Radiyyeh.
The scenes were shot beautifully to depict the look of Palestinian homes at the time. The filmmakers did an excellent job in transporting their audience to Palestine, giving you a sense of how it may have looked and what it would have felt like being there.
