Diane Kim

Personally, one of the worst movies I've seen. The characters are hard to like and the story uses too much exposition without actually taking the time to build up their characters in the 2 hour time frame that this movie takes place. A good example of this is the son being told that he is a genius in piano, but we hardly ever see him playing, and it felt like the movie chose to focus on the banal interactions between the father and Kurosu. Not to mention, the father is extremely difficult to sympathize with considering how abusive and foolish he is. The acting was sub-par, there were many awkward moments with the wife, and overall, the movie included scenes that should have been cut.
