Josee in this adaptation shines like an arthouse film, with beautiful cinematography and subtle storytelling with a rather plodding pace. It is a relatable story about love that exists as a pause in time - one that ends with setting each other free. It was a happy ending. Josee and Young Seok on screen chemistry was believable. I especially liked their portrayals of two people genuinely enjoying each other's company within their character's limits - as though they are indeed trapped. That scene hiding under blankets looking at Google Maps felt very much relatable - like a pair of lovers planning a vacation. Both acting and storytelling was quite masterful. Again, it is a masterful arthouse affair - and for Nam Joo Hyuk's wide base of fans, it might not appeal to everyone used to a more conventional storytelling. However to me it reaffirms Han Ji Min and establishes Nam Joo Hyuk's acting credibility. The ending felt like a breath of fresh air, free to move with a shadow of their memory together like a chapter in a finished book. Thank you for creating this piece of art.
