It’s basically like a remake of Flicka with a slight amount of cruelty and pieces here and there of the 1994 black beauty. While it’s a decent movie, the acting is only subpar and the storyline of “girl meets wild horse and only she can understand that horse and tame it” is much too overdone. Disney should never have made this movie as a “remake” of the Original Black Beauty and it’s frankly a disgrace what they have done to the movie to cater to sensitive viewers. The original black beauty was a dark movie full of animal cruelty towards horses told from the perspective of the horse to showcase everything that was wrong with how horses can be treated and to teach people to do better. Disney ruining another classic once again.
