Athol Fugard's simplicity, evident in his characters dialogue always enhance readers comprehension. In Swinze Bansi is Dead, I fell in love with Style's internal monologues. The Train Driver captures the story of Roelf, a white man who accidentally ran into a black woman with a baby in her back. The victims died and their body remained unclaimed until when Roelf started having psychological trauma and had to find the victims grave to swear and claim their bodies. Also, in The Train Driver, Simon, the gravedigger's indifference towards his job showcases, vanity of life. However, one is still troubled that after years of apartheid, Simon, the character in the play is still accused of killing Roelf if not for his employer. When will black man be free of trouble!?
