First off...I am both a huge Pink Floyd and Roger Waters fan. Floyd is by far the greatest rock band of all time, because of who they were and what they said. Roger's words and David's guitar. If you are listening to this recording and hoping to hear those two things you will be sadly disappointed.(Also, where have you been?? Roger and David are still upset with each other) There is no intent in my ears to replace the classic album, it's more like a chance to reflect on Roger's amazing lyrics and give them a different perspective. An 80 year old man singing what he wrote at 30 gives the lyrics a much more introspective view. This is amazing and it makes me sad. All of my hero's are aging and will soon be gone. That means I am too. So I will breathe in the air and thank Roger for giving me this incredible work.
