From the TIFF People's Choice screenings.
Perhaps a bit too sappy and sentimental. The movie is broken into 3 acts and it starts strong and grows weaker throughout the runtime. There is an intriguing mystery to the start and it felt as if Flanagan's horror sensibilities were creeping through (on a very low level but somewhat there). Some slight existential dread eventually turns to a more cheering and happy route although the film overall functions on a "running out of time" basis even if the protagonist isn't fully aware.
