There’s a lot of reasons to love this movie. And they’ve all been discussed in every review. So I want to mention why I personally loved it so much. Me and my boyfriend like to tear apart movies; impossibilities, continuation errors, etc. However, this movie is based on fun frivolity and limitless gaming mechanics so there was nothing to tear down. At no point did we say “he would be out of bullets” or “they couldn’t have survived that” or “that building isn’t enough material to make a bridge.” We were just in awe of this awesome fun film. Plus, it reminds me of the goofy side of Ryan Reynolds and how he got his start. Great movie, from beginning to end. Quite possibly the best original film (not a remake or sequel) since Pacific Rim. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
