I’ve personally read the book more than once and absolutely loved it. I’ve even had the pleasure to write book essays on it. In the first 10 minutes of the first episode it was even too unbearable to watch. It wasn’t a good adaptation of the book and they could have done a better job. For someone who’s never read the book they may have some enjoyment watching it, but for someone who has read it you understand the struggle of trying to stay focused watching the show. In my opinion it was hard to watch after reading the book and I didn’t find any fascination with the show.
