As a combat Airborne Infantry veteran, let me say that this movie was a disappointment in all respects. People, including the young lady star, SMILING in the midst of combat? Ridiculous! Others simply murdering people for no apparent reason? Insane! A plot was all but non-existent, except for a few journalists needing to get to D.C. There was no explanation as to how or why America got to such a place, and no hint of where America might end up.
The only reason I went to see this movie was because of its title, that I found somewhat intriguing. However, this movie was empty of any meaning and was simply about indiscriminate killing and mayhem. And then California and Texas were paired together as allies? That was the most unrealistic absurdity that turned me off from the very beginning. Forcing myself to sit through the entire movie was exciting for one reason: it made me greatly anticipate the ending!
There was nothing redeeming about this movie. It is not even worth spending time on reviewing, except to say, "save your money and, more importantly, save your TIME, because the only thing at which this movie excelled was to waste that precious commodity!"
