If you are a true fan of Mr.G since the past I believe then you will notice many things from Godzilla movies. From the twins from Mothra original cast, the art from storyboards from 60's and the mix of symphony of music with the Godzilla's theme, in short little bit of here and there. A real Japanese actor(s) (about time) Just enjoy the movie and listen closely to the music it pump up your inner kid again.
