BATH FITTERS BAD EXPEREINCE WITH MR. K (5/8/2021)
Hello Val and Ryan,
I enjoy your TV Show, as I watch it daily.
Regarding: BATH FITTERS (recently viewed on your show with a promotion of getting $675.00 off the cost of their services should we mention WCL. I did exactly that by making an appointment with Bath Fitters. I did not feel that I received the best customer services for the following reasons:
Representative Mr. K “talked down” to me throughout the appointment as if I was an uneducated and poor adult.
Representative Mr. K lied to me three separate times. I stated to Mr. K when the carpet man comes, when the hard floor man comes, they brings samples with them. So I asked him if he brought samples of the bathroom walls with him and each of the three times I asked he said no, that everything is now don online now-a-days. Then all of a sudden, as he was enlarging his laptop computer screen, his laptop that he was using to present to me failed. The internet failed a few times, which made it very hard to continue to show bathroom features. So out of the chance of losing a customer and commission, he then had a memory breakthrough that he actually had samples in the trunk of his car. When he returned to lobby with his suitcase of samples, I was very upset with him that he lied to me three (3) times by saying he had no samples, but never said a word about it until the very end of his presentation.
After the provided me with the pricing options at $6,743.00: A) 0.00 APR for 24 months and B) 4.9 % APR x 60 months payments at $166.22. Then I told him that based on WCL special, how would the numbers change since there is $675.00 discount just by mentioning WCL. Then all of a sudden none of the financing applied, rather that the $675.00 would be taken off, leaving a balance of $6,093, however the terms were now: 30% down on the date of contact and the remaining 70% due on the day of installation. I said how I did not think that was fair to any customer by loosing all financing options bc I mentioned WCL. Mr. K said that, “I could have padded prices had I known you were looking for the WCL price discount, and you would have never known the difference.” I could not believe that came straight out of his mouth with no hesitation or shame.
Specifically, I said, “At first I was only going to tell you, Mr. K, No, that I will not be purchasing any bathroom enhancement services today that are associated with you, but I think you should know the truth, Mr. K. I will not be working with you for a few main reasons: you down talked to me on several occasions and you lied to me three (3) separate times about the sample, proudly spoke of padding the price. Mr. K saw my bathroom, however, due to being covid safe we sat in my building’s lobby area to discussing features and detailed pricing. My lobby area in my building has cameras, which can confirm our appointment and how he left me sitting in the lobby and came back into my building with a large suitcase of samples.
Val and Ryan, I just wanted you to know about this situation and I wanted to confirm with you about how would the $675.00 discount be applied (without losing the financing options).
After leaving Mr. K’s presence, I contacted Bath Fitter again and reported the situation.
I am so disappointed that Bath Fitters would have such a type of person working for them.
