I have to admit, I tried to watch this film from the perspective of an election denier; basically, "I believe this happened, and now I'm seeing exactly how." And, in all honesty, there were just too many circumstances and situations which seemed implausible, at best, and even more in which a perfectly reasonable alternative explanation could have existed, or probably, did exist. Taken as a while, while it's theoretically possible, there's far too much to suggest that it's unlikely.
Put another way, the film is made to SEEM true. But that's simply wasn't enough to make me believe it really IS true.
