I understand they have to build a world somehow but it's lazy writing to have these parents telling each other stories about weird things their kids do as though it's NEVER been mentioned before. The parents have good chemistry but often make comments about people in the room, about things that just happened, and that person doesn't even respond. The MIL and brother have no sense of boundaries and these parents act like they have no idea how to set those boundaries. Then the parents relationship itself. Good chemistry, but terribly unhealthy. Wishing for days before kids, bottling up issues they have with each other, not a good look.
