Though technically a science fiction film it also contain many elements of a gothic horror film. This is not your garden variety sci-fi movie. It is well casted and beautifully written. It is in no hurry to reach a climax but when I does..wow! First rate acting and direction creates a film that looks as fresh today as it did when it was released in 1979.
