Tom has played some epic parts... but this isn't one of them. Even more boring and duller than his part in Lawless. You're waiting for something interesting to happen. It never materialises. Jolie Comer's accent is grating. Austin is a poor man's James Dean.

Hard to actually see what Ridley Scott was aiming for here. 2.5 hours of very average acting, same old faces same old styles. Script was equally as dull. J.P. is a great actor but he wasnt allowed to be in this. Yes, the battle scenes are epic, but for the budget, they should be. I would have liked to have seen how Napoleon became the insecure, flawed genius. Save your money and time.
