Overall the movie was great. The only thing I wish is that they added more to was the character's backgrounds. The only ones who had a proper background story were Sub-zero and Scorpion, which pretty much saved the film from any lower ratings in my opinion. They really should have strengthened the original characters before deciding to add a new character. Cole was great I guess but he really didn't add anything to the movie other than being related to Scorpion. It also felt a bit too rushed. I get that they try to fit in as much as possible within 2 ish hours, but they could have just tried making this one perfect and continuing a series if it receives good reviews. I'm not saying it isn't a great movie because it actually is. The fatalities and fighting scenes I would give a 10/10, everything else I'd give like a 6.5/10
