I really enjoyed this movie. It was WW2 Eastern Front setting which I love. It was based on a true story and moved right along too. It was dubbed in English AND had English subtitles if you wanted to hear Russian voices. It has romance and reality and has historical facts to pursue at the end of it. My German wife enjoy it too so I knew we can watch it at least one more time before we are 100 years old.(I’ll watch it again when she’s asleep 💤.)

Excellent show and owned by a terrible broadcast company: ABC. This broadcasting company confuses its viewers with questions like ‘What season is this?’ AND ‘What time slot are we now in?’ AND ‘What night can we watch it?’ AND ‘How can ABC blame Covid as an excuse for confusion when no other broadcast company blames, they just plug away?’ It’s just unfortunate there is such poor planning and communications at ABC to ruin an excellent show like The Rookie.

Sit back and enjoy a Grrreat special effects movie of 1996. Great acting-Great screenplay-AND AREA 51 !!!

Excellent re-watch movie. You know it's good when your wife picks it to rewatch! The respect for the Navajo is greatly recreated in film. The battle scenes are very realistic and good. Navajo code was never broken.

Great blend of characters and plot. Though enjoyably slow at first it gradually builds and builds until the very end. I really liked the focus on it being a true Western versus being a 'Hollywood' western.
