They just shouldn’t have called it Velma. There is no explanation for the main character having the last name dinkly. Both her parents are south Asian. Dinkly is not an Indian name. Every other race swapped character the last name still makes sense. Then there’s a Shaggy but no Scooby-doo? Fred’s does the nazi salute in one episode? What about this is actually emulating Scooby-doo? If it’s meant as a parody then lampoon the characters or the premise but race swapping the characters, making them a-holes, and then butchering some of them for comedy is not parody or edgy.
