Despite the fact the album was never truly finished, it’s still mind boggling how someone could create this masterpiece. Jeff Buckley truly blessed the world’s ears with his music. I think the unfinished aspects of this album add to the raw emotion in the songs. It’s astonishing to think of what these tracks would sound like finished; how what’s already incredible could become better. The emotion in tracks like “Morning Theft” (a personal favorite of mine) or “Opened Once” will bring tears to your eyes. The messy, rough, sound of “Your Flesh Is So Nice” and “Gunshot Glitter” really enhances the songs and makes them stand out compared from the other tracks. Overall, this album is utterly amazing and Jeff Buckley truly was an astounding artist.
