One word: Emotions.. James Gunn kept the soul of each and every characters, and gave them the fitting ending to their arc, while maintaining the possibility of the return but for now, as a standalone movie series, it gives a power-packed performance, with a wonderful script and out of the world music choices, a satisfying ending which was yes, tear jerking as well! Well done Marvel, for this particular project!
