The first time I watched this movie I was about 10 who had it recommended by a friend who was around 12. I decided to watch it and it was amazing! The portrayals in the film, the voices mostly. Some scenes made me tear up a bit, but others had slightly inappropriate jokes, they weren’t really obvious you had to think about it for a minute. Either way this movie is amazing, I rewatched it today and I still believe this. It gives off so many vibes like, Sweeney Todd, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissorhands. Going over the list I have realized that most vibes this gives off are Tim Burton films. Honestly I don’t know if this has anything to do with the movie or how I’ve grown, but each time I rewatch it, it seems sadder. Like the time before I was missing something. This time I thought that at the end maybe the time froze because of his heart, he fell in love and his heart stopped, stopping time with it. Along with things like these the style of animation is one of the best styles I have seen before.
