They created so much expectations over Michael from the beginning of the series as the most powerful character but he turned out to be one of the most fragiles and vulnerables. However, they could’ve rescued this character in this last movie with an epic return, but they didn’t do it. They continued to make him look as the boxing bag of others: the almighty hybrid hanging from his feet, asking for mercy and being blood drained by a lesser lycan. In every movie where Michael appeared I expected that he finally would something worth watching besides being protected by mom Selene. Yes, power is tempting but vampires doing so much nonsense killing of their own kin just for it, when it’s known that loyalty is one of the most highlighted values of vampires especially in desperate times, “I don’t know, Rick…”. An unexpected spin like bringing Viktor back with a huge crossed scar on his face, seeking revenge, which would temporarily unite vampires and lycans and an incredible final fight between Michael and Viktor would’ve been incredible to see. Well, you don’t always get what you want. I give it 3/5.
