I love the fact that they didn't let the elaborate motive for the hijack distract from their primary focus, "the flight", and that they didn't try to resolve it all (that's the outside world story and the masterminds), tying it all into a clean knot; they left it for the right bureau to deal with as it should be- off screen. It is a show about a hijack, plain and simple. And I dare say, it served the dish well.
